HISTORY
RADCO History
RADCO is an acronym for Richmond Associated Distributing Company.
RADCO Inc.
The company was originally incorporated in 1982 as a contract converter by Lloyd Berg and Ralph Leino. Table Mate was its first and largest customer. The first location was in a cheese factory in the town of Richmond in Shawano, Wisconsin. The first items manufactured were true round plastic and non-woven fabric table covers. An orange Kubota tractor served as the first forklift, and the manual manufacturing process using round cutting tables is still used today.
Expansion
As contract converting and manufacturing expanded into rectangular table covers, table skirting, rewinding and packaging, RADCO moved to a larger facility at 185 Northridge Drive, Shawano, WI. The first automatic table cover folding machine was installed in this facility.
Construction Complete!
A lot was purchased in the Shawano Industrial Park, and the RADCO facility was constructed at its current location (1355 Industrial Drive). Move in and production began in the spring of 1995 at the 50,000 sq. ft. facility.
Addition to Facility
A 42,000 sq. ft. warehouse expansion was complete. During this period of construction and growth, a second automatic table cover folding machine was installed, along with two automatic rewinders.
Additional Lines
Two more automatic table cover machines were installed: one for additional poly and for the addition of a poly tissue line.
Corporate Headquarters Moves
Table Mate Products moved its corporate and distribution center to Shawano. Radco is now the manufacturing, distribution center and corporate headquarters for Table Mate Products.
Diversification
Radco diversifies into other manufacturing markets by purchasing a Guard Machine for producing insulated foam aprons for water heaters. Within one year of purchase, Radco was awarded a Supplier of Excellence Award from industry leader Bradford White.
For more than 50 years, Radco has continued to receive consistent Superior Audit Scores and consecutive safety awards year after year.
